Exporting your data
Download a copy of all your data in standard formats, plus PDF and Word reports for doctor visits and family updates.
Your data belongs to you
Senior Support Resources believes your care data should always be accessible and portable. You can download a complete copy of everything stored in the app at any time: medications and their full history, appointments and visit notes, visit logs and observations, task history, vitals readings, behavior log entries, uploaded documents, care reports, journal entries, expense records, and contact information. This is your data and you should always be able to take it with you.
How to export your data
Navigate to Settings > Data & Privacy and click "Export My Data." You can choose to export everything at once or select specific categories such as medications only, visit logs only, or health metrics only. The full export is generated as a ZIP file containing CSV files for structured data (which can be opened in Excel or Google Sheets) and copies of any uploaded documents. Individual category exports are available as standalone CSV files for quick access to specific information.
What is included in the export
The complete export includes: all care circle data (medications with history, appointments, contacts, vitals readings), visit logs and observations from all care circle members, task history with completion records, behavior and mood log entries, all uploaded documents (scanned prescriptions, legal documents, insurance cards), generated care reports, your private journal entries (visible only in your export, not in exports by other members), and expense records. Data from other care circle members' private journals is never included in your export.
Using exported data
Common uses for exported data include: creating a backup of important care records, sharing comprehensive medical history with a new healthcare provider, providing documentation for insurance appeals or benefit applications, transferring information if you switch to a different care management tool, and creating a permanent record of the care journey. The CSV format is universally readable and can be imported into spreadsheets, other care platforms, or personal health record systems.
Tips
Export your data periodically as a backup in case you need offline access. Store exports in a secure location since they contain personal health information. When sharing exported records with a healthcare provider, review the content first and share only what is relevant to avoid overwhelming them with data. The medication list CSV is particularly useful as a shareable document for new doctors, emergency room visits, or pharmacy consultations.
PDF and Word reports
In addition to data exports, you can download formatted reports as PDF or Word (DOCX) files from the Settings page. Four report types are available: Emergency Card (wallet-sized medical summary), Care Summary (comprehensive overview for doctor visits), Weekly Report (past seven days of activity), and Medication List (printable reference with dosages and prescribers). PDF is best for printing and sharing as-is. Word is useful when you want to edit the report before sharing.
