Managing your profile

Update your name, email, notification preferences, and account details.

Accessing your profile settings

Click your avatar or name in the sidebar and select "Settings," or navigate directly to Settings > Profile. Here you can update your display name, email address, phone number, and profile photo. Your profile information is visible to other members of your care circle, so use the name others will recognize you by. Adding a profile photo helps other care circle members identify who left which visit log or completed which task, especially in larger circles with extended family.

Changing your email address

When you change your email address, a verification link is sent to the new address. You must click the link to confirm the change. Until you confirm, your old email remains active for login and notifications. Use an email address you check regularly since this is where care alerts, task notifications, daily digests, and weekly reports are delivered. If you do not see the verification email, check your spam folder. The link expires after 24 hours, after which you will need to request a new one.

Changing your password

Go to Settings > Security to change your password. You will need to enter your current password and then choose a new one. Use a strong, unique password that you do not use for other accounts. A good password is at least 12 characters and combines letters, numbers, and symbols. If you forget your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset it via email. The reset link is sent to your registered email address and expires after one hour.

Accessibility and display settings

Senior Support Resources includes accessibility options in Settings > Accessibility. You can enable larger text sizes, increase touch target sizes for easier tapping on mobile devices, adjust contrast settings, and switch to a simplified navigation layout. Self-managing seniors using the app for themselves may want to enable Elder Mode, which provides larger text, bigger buttons, first-person language, and a streamlined interface focused on the features most relevant to self-care.

Tips

Keep your phone number current so you can receive important SMS alerts about medication reminders, wellness check-in escalations, and urgent notifications. If you participate in multiple care circles, your profile settings apply across all of them. Review your settings periodically, especially notification preferences, to make sure you are receiving the alerts that matter most to you without being overwhelmed by less critical notifications.
