Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 26, 2026
1. Introduction
Frankventure LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Senior Support Resources, a caregiving coordination platform available at seniorsupportresources.com and seniorsupportservices.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.
We understand that caregiving involves sensitive personal and health-related information. We take the privacy and security of this information seriously, and we have designed our platform with that sensitivity in mind.
By creating an account or using Senior Support Resources, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described herein.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you enable SMS features, we also collect your phone number.
Care Recipient Profiles
You may provide detailed information about the person you are caring for, including their name, date of birth, health conditions, medications, living situation, mobility level, cognitive status, and emergency contacts. This information drives the personalized guidance and coordination features of the platform.
Health-Related Data
You may enter medications and dosages, appointments and provider information, vital signs and health metrics, symptoms and observations, visit logs documenting care interactions, and incident reports.
Family and Contact Information
When you invite family members or other caregivers to your Care Circle, we collect their names, email addresses, phone numbers, and roles within the circle. Invited members create their own accounts and agree to this policy independently.
Insurance Information
You may store insurance plan types, member IDs, claims information, and appeals documentation within the platform.
Documents
You may upload documents to the secure document vault, including medical records, legal documents, insurance paperwork, and other caregiving-related files.
Journal Entries and Incident Logs
You may create journal entries to record caregiving observations and personal reflections, as well as incident logs to document falls, behavioral changes, or other notable events.
Messages
Messages you send to other Care Circle members through the platform are stored to facilitate ongoing family communication and care coordination.
Voice Recordings
If you use the visit recording feature, audio recordings are processed by our technology partner and converted to text summaries. The text summaries are stored in your account. Audio files are not retained after processing.
Photos
You may upload photos for smart home safety analysis or prescription scanning. Photos are stored in your account and are accessible only to members of your Care Circle.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage patterns and feature interactions. We track which features you use and how you interact with the platform to personalize content, improve the service, and power adaptive suggestions. This data is stored in our user_interactions system.
- Device and browser information. We collect device type, browser type, and operating system to ensure the platform functions correctly on your device.
- IP address. Collected for security and fraud prevention purposes. IP addresses are not stored long-term or associated with your profile.
Information from Third-Party Sources
When you use certain platform features, we retrieve publicly available information from third-party databases to enhance your experience:
- Drug information from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and FDA public databases
- Healthcare facility ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Weather alerts from NOAA for senior safety
- Benefits eligibility data from the National Council on Aging (NCOA)
- Provider information from the CMS National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry
This third-party data is publicly available and is not linked to your personal identity unless you choose to save it within your care profile.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Provide and personalize the service. Your care recipient profile drives every feature: personalized guidance, medication tracking, appointment preparation, safety assessments, facility recommendations, benefits screening, and family coordination.
- Generate personalized guidance and summaries. When you use smart features, relevant portions of your care profile are sent to our technology partner (Anthropic) to generate personalized recommendations, conversation scripts, medical summaries, appeal letters, and care plans.
- Send medication reminders and wellness check-ins. If you enable SMS features, we use phone numbers to send automated medication reminders, appointment reminders, and wellness check-in messages via Twilio.
- Send email notifications and family broadcasts. We use email addresses to send care circle invitations, notification digests, family update broadcasts, and weekly care reports via Resend.
- Send push notifications. If you enable push notifications in your browser, we send alerts for tasks, appointments, medication reminders, and family messages.
- Detect health patterns and generate proactive suggestions. We analyze wellness check-in responses, visit logs, health metrics, and behavioral observations to identify trends that may indicate changes in your care recipient's wellbeing, and to surface timely suggestions.
- Generate weekly care reports. We compile activity across your Care Circle into periodic reports to keep family members informed.
- Improve the service. We use aggregated, anonymized usage data to understand how the platform is used, identify areas for improvement, and develop new features. Individual user data is never used for this purpose without anonymization.
4. How We Share Your Information
Within Your Care Circle
Information about your care recipient is shared with all members of your Care Circle. This includes medications, appointments, tasks, visit logs, health metrics, messages, and care schedules. You control who is in your Care Circle by inviting or removing members. Journal entries you mark as "private" are not shared with other circle members.
With Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the platform. Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver their specific service:
- Supabase (database hosting, authentication): stores all user data with encryption at rest and row-level security
- Anthropic (intelligent content processing): receives care context when you use smart features to generate guidance, summaries, and scripts. Per Anthropic's terms, data sent for processing is not used to train or improve their models.
- Twilio (SMS delivery): receives phone numbers for medication reminders and wellness check-in messages
- Resend (email delivery): receives email addresses for notifications, invitations, and family broadcasts
- Vercel (application hosting): processes web requests and serves the platform
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell personal information to anyone, ever.
- We do not share data with advertisers or ad networks.
- We do not use health data for marketing purposes.
- We do not share individual data with employers or insurers.
- We do not provide data to data brokers.
When We May Be Required to Share
- Legal process. We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process. We will notify you of such requests when legally permitted.
- Safety. We may disclose information if we have a good-faith belief that doing so is necessary to protect the safety of any person who may be in immediate danger.
- Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Security
We implement multiple layers of security to protect your information:
- Encryption in transit. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Encryption at rest. Your data is encrypted when stored in our database (Supabase-managed encryption).
- Row-level security. Our database enforces row-level security policies at the database layer, ensuring users can only access data within their own Care Circles. This protection operates independently of application code.
- Credential isolation. Service role keys and API credentials are never exposed to client-side code.
- No PHI in logs. Protected health information is never written to error messages, application logs, or diagnostic reports.
- Access controls. Role-based permissions within Care Circles determine what actions each member can take.
While we take extensive measures to protect your data, no system connected to the internet can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account and to keep your login credentials confidential.
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts. Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active and you continue to use the service.
- Deleted accounts. When you request account deletion, all associated personal data is removed within 30 days. Shared data such as visit logs and observations that other Care Circle members rely on may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve circle continuity.
- Emergency share links. Temporary emergency information links expire after 24 hours.
- Services cache. Cached results from third-party services (facility ratings, drug information) expire after 7 days.
- Activity feed. Activity feed entries are retained for 1 year, then automatically removed.
- Exported data. Data you export (JSON, CSV) is downloaded to your device and becomes your responsibility to store and protect.
7. Your Rights
You have control over your information. Specifically, you can:
- Access your data. View all personal information we have stored about you through your account dashboard and settings.
- Export your data. Download your data at any time in JSON or CSV format, including medications, appointments, visit logs, health metrics, and incident logs.
- Correct your data. Edit any information in your profile, care recipient records, medications, appointments, or other care data at any time.
- Delete your data. Request deletion of your account and all associated personal information. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
- Control sharing. Manage notification preferences, control who is in your Care Circle, and configure data sharing settings through your account.
- Leave a Care Circle. Remove yourself from any Care Circle at any time. Your personal account remains yours. Shared observations and visit logs you created will be retained for the benefit of other circle members unless you request their deletion.
To exercise any of these rights, use the options available in your account settings or contact us at privacy@seniorsupportresources.com.
8. Children's Privacy
Senior Support Resources is designed for adult caregivers and self-managing seniors. The service is not intended for users under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Care recipients may be any age, but all account holders must be 18 years of age or older. If we learn that an account has been created by someone under 18, we will delete that account and its associated data promptly.
If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@seniorsupportresources.com.
9. HIPAA Notice
Senior Support Resources is not a covered entity under HIPAA. We are not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse, and the platform does not create a provider-patient relationship.
While we implement security measures consistent with healthcare industry best practices (encryption, access controls, audit trails, PHI-aware logging), the platform is not HIPAA-compliant and should not be treated as such.
Users should not use Senior Support Resources as a substitute for official medical records maintained by healthcare providers. The information and guidance provided through our platform, including automatically generated recommendations, are for informational and organizational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to know. You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information to third parties. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no need to opt out.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at privacy@seniorsupportresources.com. We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days.
11. State-Specific Privacy Notices
Several states, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others, have enacted comprehensive privacy laws that provide residents with specific rights regarding their personal information. These rights may include the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal data, as well as the right to opt out of certain data processing activities.
We endeavor to comply with all applicable state privacy laws. If you are a resident of a state with specific privacy legislation and wish to exercise your rights, please contact us at privacy@seniorsupportresources.com.
12. Cookies and Local Storage
Senior Support Resources uses minimal browser storage technologies:
- Session cookies. We use session cookies for authentication only. These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be disabled.
- Browser localStorage. We use localStorage to save your preferences (such as accessibility settings), emergency card data, backup plan data, and scam dashboard checklists. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- No third-party tracking cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking.
13. SMS and Communications
If you enable SMS features for your care recipient, the following applies:
- SMS messages (medication reminders, appointment reminders, wellness check-ins) are delivered via Twilio. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
- You or the care recipient may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message or by disabling SMS features in your account settings.
- Wellness check-in responses are shared with your Care Circle to facilitate coordinated care. Response patterns may be analyzed to detect changes in wellbeing over time.
- Email notifications (invitations, digests, weekly reports, family broadcasts) are delivered via Resend. You can configure notification preferences in your account settings.
14. International Users
Senior Support Resources is operated from the United States, and all data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
Data protection laws in the United States may differ from those in your jurisdiction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the platform before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of Senior Support Resources after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
