How we make money
And, just as important, how we don't. When a family is deciding on care, the advice they get should not depend on who pays us. Here is the whole picture, in plain language.
Our promise
Senior Support Resources takes no referral fees. We are not paid a commission when you choose an assisted living community, a home-care agency, a Medicare plan, or an insurer. Our guidance about where to turn is not influenced by anyone's marketing budget, because no one buys placement in it.
What we do not do
- We do not take referral or "lead" fees from senior-living communities or facilities. Some well-known services earn a large share of your first month's rent when they place you. We do not.
- We do not sell your information to insurers, agencies, or advertisers.
- We do not rank facilities or services by who pays us, because none of them pay us.
- We do not receive commissions on Medicare, Medigap, or insurance sign-ups.
How we actually keep the lights on
- The service is free for families during our current beta. There is no charge and no credit card.
- Over time, the platform is designed to be sustained the way other caregiving benefits are: by employers and health plans who offer it to the people they cover, and by grants that support family caregivers. That means the family is not the one being sold to.
- If we ever add optional paid conveniences (for example, extra text-message reminders or printable reports), they will be clearly labeled and entirely optional. The core guidance stays free of any pay-to-play influence.
Why this matters
Much of the eldercare industry runs on referral fees. When a "free" placement service earns money only when you move into a paying facility, its incentives and yours are not the same. We built this differently on purpose: our only job is to help you find the next right step for your family, whatever that turns out to be, including the option that costs nothing.
